Carrel ("the extension," "we") is a browser extension that saves web pages to your Notion workspace. This policy explains exactly what data Carrel handles. It is operated by Toolwright, contact hello@toolwright.studio.
The following are stored only in your browser's local extension storage
(chrome.storage.local) and never leave your device except as
described below:
When you click Clip, Carrel reads the content of the current page
and sends it, together with the title, tags, and properties you choose, to
the Notion API (api.notion.com) using your
integration token, in order to create a page in the database you selected.
That is the only network destination. Carrel reads page content only on the
active tab and only when you initiate a clip.
Carrel interacts only with Notion, the service you explicitly connect. Your use of Notion is governed by Notion's own privacy policy.
Because data is stored locally, you control it. Remove your token in Settings, clear the extension's storage, or uninstall the extension to delete everything Carrel stores. Pages already saved to Notion are managed by you in Notion.
Your token is stored in your browser's local extension storage and is transmitted only to Notion over HTTPS. Keep your device and browser profile secure, as local storage is accessible to your browser profile.
Carrel is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
Carrel's use of information obtained through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data accessed by Carrel is used only to provide the extension's single, user-facing purpose — saving pages to your Notion — and for no other purpose.
